the first generation student ASSEMBLY!!

We are proud to share a historic milestone in our journey: what began as a passionate student union has now become the First Generation Student Assembly (FGSA), an officially recognized assembly within USC's Undergraduate Student Government (USG). This transition, finalized in Fall 2023, marks the culmination of years of dedication, advocacy, and community-building by and for first-generation college students.FGSA represents more than just a name change, it marks the beginning of a legacy. For the first time in USC’s history, first-generation students have a formal and institutional platform dedicated to their empowerment, representation, and access to resources. This recognition is not only symbolic; it equips us with the tools to better serve, support, and celebrate the first-gen experience at every level of campus life.We are deeply grateful to the first-gen family — past, present, and future — who helped bring this vision to life. Your support, voices, and resilience laid the foundation for this achievement. As we step into this new chapter, FGSA stands ready to lead with purpose, break down barriers, and build lasting change for the first-gen community at USC.

FIGHT ON FIRST GEN!!!
